Dorothy Malia, 80, Academy Street, Plymouth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at home.
Born Oct. 4, 1925, in Long Beach, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Joseph P and Louise C. Donnelly.
She was a graduate of Long Beach High School, Long Beach, N.Y.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, South Main Street, Hanover Township.
She was a longtime social member of American Legion Post 609, Lee Park Avenue. Dorothy was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael A. Malia, May 10, 1988, and a brother Joseph Donnelly.
Surviving are her children Dori and son-in-law, Daniel Aguilar, with whom she resided; Michael, Wilkes-Barre; Gary and his wife, Sandi, Lee Park; Jeff and his wife, Joy, Ashley; grandchildren John Mrus, Melissa Husted, Daniel Aguilar, Amy Aguilar, Jeffrey Malia, Stacy Malia, Gary Malia Jr., Jason and Troy Malia, Michael Malia, and Christopher Malia; great-grandchildren Hailey Ann Husted, Wyatt Malia, Britney Malia, Emily Malia, Hunter Malia, Christopher Malia and Kyle Malia; sisters Mary Baratta and Betty Cullum, Florida; brother John Donnelly, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Kielty-Moran Funeral Home Inc., 87 Washington Ave., Plymouth, with services at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, South Main Street, Hanover Township.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
