Edward L. Zukosky Jr., 74, of Luzerne, died Thursday at the VNA Hospice Unit of CMC Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in Swoyersville, he was a son of the late Edward and Helen (Zim) Zukosky. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Dallas Auto Parts. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, and Asher Minor Post 4 of Kingston.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Dolores Syroid; daughter Elaine Pretko of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; grandchildren Joseph Pretko Jr., Kristin Bott; great-granddaughter Melanie Faith Bott; brothers Carl Sr., Ronald, Daniel; sisters Gloria Kush, Geraldine Reilly, Roberta Steadili; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street Church, with the Very Rev. David Cappelloni V.F. officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, 568 Bennett St., Luzerne.
