Michael D. (Moe) Matosky, 55, of Franklin Township, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born September 7, 1951, in Kingston, he was a son of the late Michael and Lillian (Wigodinski) Matosky. He was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston and was employed as a mason.
He was a member of the Wyoming Hose Co. No. 2, Wyoming, the VFW of Wyoming, Triangle Club of Miners Mills and the Eagles Post 1965 of Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife, the former Terri Parulis; sons, Michael J., of Wyoming and Brian C. and his wife, Gennica, of Del Rio, Texas; grandson, Rylan Tyler Matosky; brothers, Ronald, of West Wyoming, Robert, of Nanticoke and John (Jack), of Plains Township; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with an Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., with parastas service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rylan Tyler Education Fund, or the American Heart Association.
