Anna Kossakowski, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away, Friday, August 24, 2007, at Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, Inpatient Unit, at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Parsons, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Rose Sofonic Pauster.
She attended the Wilkes-Barre schools and was employed for many years at Carter Rubber Footwear.
Mrs. Kossakowski was a member of St. Dominic’s Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Some of her greatest joys in life were her family, working in her yard, and attending craft shows and flea markets.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Kossakowski, to whom she was married 54 years; son, John; son-in-law, Lawrence Smith; brothers, Michael Poster and James Pauster; sisters, Helen Neuman and Alice Whitcavage.
She is survived by daughters, Joan Koons and her husband, Harold, of Wilkes-Barre and Rose Ann Smith, of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Kimberly Kell, Rhonda Martini, Lawrence Smith IV, Stephanie Smith, Corey Koons and Casey Koons; great-grandchildren, Mallerie Smith, John Smith, Nicole Kell and Lauren Kell; great-great-grandson, Kyle Costello; brothers, Stephen Poster, of Oregon, George Poster and Edward Pauster, both of Parsons; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements are by E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
