Goldie E. Hadsall

Goldie Elizabeth (Belles) Hadsall, 89, formerly of Trucksville, passed away, Friday, September 21, 2007, at Hospice Community Care, Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Noxen, February 22, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Lillie Monroe Belles.

She was a professing Christian and served her Lord and faith devoutly.

She was a longtime member of the Huntsville Christian Church and the former Faith Baptist Church, Dallas. She has gone home to be with her Lord.

She loved gardening, knitting and baking. She held a special love and place in her heart for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Carlton Hadsall, who passed away in 1990; brothers Donald, Roland and William Belles.

She is survived by daughters Louise Webb and her husband, John, of Dover, Del., Joanne Walp, of Plains Township, Brenda Nygren and her husband, Dale, of Sweet Valley and Barbara Bolton and her husband James, Lawton, Okla.; son Bruce Hadsall and his wife, Carol, of Trucksville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Dora Hoover, of Pittston; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with the Rev. Mike Bealla, Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call on Thursday from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Community Care Memorial Fund, 601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA, 18704, or the Back Mountain Food Bank, Church Road, Trucksville, PA 18708.
