Anna Brezna Lazo, of Harrison Street, Askam, died Saturday at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born Aug. 11, 1907, in Askem, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Brezna. Anna was a hard working mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving sister. She was a member of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church, Hanover section of Nanticoke.
She was preceded in death by brothers, John, Peter, George, Michael, and Andrew Brezna; sisters, Mary Williams, Helen Klucefski and Margaret Brezna.
Surviving are sons, John Lazo, Wilkes-Barre Township, Harold Lazo, with whom she resided; grandchildren, John Lazo Jr. and Lorissa Lazo, of Williamson; brother Steve Brezna, of Askam; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. in St. John R.O. Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Nanticoke. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, with Panikhida service at 7:30 p.m.
