WILKES-BARRE – A city man will face charges in Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in connection to assaulting a woman and her 10-year-old son.
Keno Johnson-Williams, 31, of Edison Street, appeared Tuesday for a preliminary hearing in Central Court where a district judge sent two counts of simple assault, harassment and a single count of criminal trespass to county court.
Wilkes-Barre police charged Johnson-Williams with forcing his way into an Academy Street apartment and assaulting a woman known to him on Feb. 28.
The woman’s son attempted to call 911 when Johnson-Williams punched him in the face, according to arrest records.
WILKES-BARRE – Luzerne County prosecutors withdrew simple assault and harassment charges against a Nanticoke man during a preliminary hearing in Central Court on Tuesday.
John Purvin, 47, of West Broad Street, waived a single count of disorderly conduct to Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas.
Nanticoke police charged Purvin after a woman claimed he punched her in the face at her West Broad Street residence on April 2. Purvin struggled with officers when he was arrested, according to arrest records.
