John J. Buchanan, 28, a resident of St. Joseph’s ICF MR, Hemlock Street, Swoyersville, passed away Sunday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born May 13, 1980 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Kenneth and Deborah Tomcho Buchanan, of Glen Lyon.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his brothers, Bradley and Christopher Buchanan, at home; nieces, Samera and Isabella Buchanan, at home; uncles, Ronald and Kristine Buchanan, of Wilkes-Barre; John Tomcho and Beverly, of Bristol, Pa.; Barry and Bonnie Tomcho, of Ashley; Daniel and Tanya Tomcho, Cordora, Tenn.; aunts, Cynthia and Robert Lieby, Jessup, Md.; Diane and David Budurka, Drums, Pa.; grandmothers Betty Tomcho, of Nanticoke; and Nellie Buchanan, of Nanticoke; cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, John J. Tomcho and John H. Buchanan; and Godmother, Phyllis C. Puzio.
Rev. Timothy Hall, pastor of Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke, will conduct funeral services this evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of services.
