RICE TWP. – A Mountain Top man was charged Monday with stealing money from the Ice House Pub.

Jonathan Edward Kiefel, 24, of North Main Street, was charged with three counts of criminal trespass and two counts of theft. He was released on $2,000 unsecured bail.

According to the criminal complaint filed by township police:

Police allege Kiefel entered a lock office at the Ice House Pub on Sunday and removed $200 and six drink tokens valued at $12.

A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 29 in Central Court.

ROSS TWP. – A Shickshinny man was charged Monday in the theft of jewelry from a home.

Kenneth Jason Pereira, 27, of Grange Hall Road, was charged with 19 counts of theft. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

According to the criminal complaint filed by state police at Shickshinny:

Police allege Pereira stole jewelry from a home on Grange Hall Road from April through August, and sold the jewelry at a Wilkes-Barre pawn shop.

A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 29 in Central Court.

HAZLETON -- City police reported the following:

• Police are seeking information on a reported fight involving several people and possibly a gun or knife in the area of 3rd and Grant streets at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday. When police arrived to investigate, they found no one there. Anyone with information should call police at 459-4940.

• Robert Joseph Kramer, 33, of West Hazleton, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after, police say, he entered a residence on East Elm Street at about 2:19 a.m. Sunday.
