Good Shepherd students participate in ‘Songfest’

Twelve students from Good Shepherd Academy in Kingston attended the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 9 ‘Songfest’ held at Montrose High School. ‘Songfest,’ a one-day festival held to enhance the musical experiences of students, featured music students from 46 schools throughout the district. Sponsored by the district’s Curriculum/Instruction Committee, it places equal emphasis on music education and performance. Students from individual schools practiced with their music directors and then practiced the day of the festival with all students. ‘Songfest’ ended with a concert open to the community.
