The Dallas High School 2009 Graduation Lock-In Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the high school library. New ideas and new members are welcome.
The DHS Grad Lock-In is an alcohol-free, drug-free, fully chaperoned, all-night party for members of the graduating class. This year’s event will be the 10th Lock-In and will be held after graduation on June 5, 2009. Seniors are reminded to submit pictures for the Lock-in video as soon as possible. A senior picture and a baby or toddler picture are requested. All pictures will be returned.
The Wyoming Seminary Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble will present a program of traditional American concert band literature and big band music at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at Wyoming Seminary’s Buckingham Performing Arts Center, Sprague Avenue, Kingston.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Diversity Education Consortium (NEPDEC) at Misericordia University is sponsoring the workshop, “Recruit and Retain a Diverse Workforce,” from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre.
Scott Richardson, M.Ed., the associate director of the Diversity Institute at Misericordia University and director of NEPDEC, will present the workshop, which is designed to identify recognized best practices for recruiting and retaining a diverse student population and workforce.

The Wyoming Seminary Music Department will present its annual Winter Instrumental Concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan.18, 2009 in the Great Hall, 228 Wyoming Ave., Kingston.
