The Philadelphia Phillies World Series trophy will be on display Thursday, Jan. 29 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs (1280 Route 315, Plains Twp.) The public is invited to Mohegan Sun’s Sky Court from 4-7 p.m. to see the trophy, meet the Phillie Phanatic and chat with Phillies broadcaster Scott Franzke.
The event is part of the Phillies World Series Trophy Tour.
Wilkes-Barre-based Lawrence Kope will perform a set of original solo acoustic rock from Saturday, Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at The Bakehouse (United Penn Plaza, 152 S. Wyoming Ave., Kingston). Kope released his latest album, “Circus Models,” in 2008.
A CPW pro wrestling event at the Dunmore Community Center (1414 Monroe Ave.) will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 to help raise money for the Dunmore Senior Center. Doors open at 6:30, and the first match starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 (kids under 5 get in free) and are available by calling 570.955.0923 or at the senior center (207.2662).
In the main event, CPW champion Mr. Saturday Night will square off against WWE’s The Patriot. Also on the card are WCW’s Sal Sincere and ECW’s Rockin’ Rebel as well as Doink The Clown, Salvatore Sincere, Kage, High Voltage, Mantis, Bad Ass Marc, Roan, Slaye r, tag team champs Mark Mest and Vyrus, and more.
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will perform at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29.
