WILKES-BARRE TWP. – In an unusual circumstance Monday, council found itself with no business to deal with at its end-of-the-month meeting.
At the February meeting next week, council will have a water-shutoff ordinance to address and a resetting of the property millage to take account of changes since the county first issued new property values, said township administrator Michael Revitt.
The new millage rate will be 1.2507, reflecting a $1 tax on every $1,000 of assessed property value.
The February meeting will be at 7.30 p.m. Monday.
