Helen Williams Koval Skwarlo, 93, Mountain Top, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Carol Baab, Pocono Lake. She was born in Warrior Run, a daughter of the late Zackary and Anna Skwarlo.

She graduated from Warrior Run High School, where she was a good basketball player. She also graduated from Bradford Academy as a beautician and worked 25 years as a nurse’s aide at the Summit Nursing Home. She moved to New Jersey in 1957 and moved back to Pennsylvania in 1964.

Helen was a special person who has touched many lives; she cared for everyone she met and she will be forever remembered by all that knew her.

Helen is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her first husband, Owen Williams; her second husband, Steve Koval; daughter Linda Williams; son Owen Williams II; and grandson Owen Williams III.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Bedner, Bound Brook, N.J., and Carol Baab, Pocono Lake; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Zachary Skwarlo, and his wife, Bernadine; and her sister, Arlene Geiger, Palm Beach, Fla.

There will be no public viewing and interment will be at the convenience of the family. McCune Funeral Service Inc., 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, is in charge of the arrangements.

The family would appreciate memorial donations be made to Transfiguration Church, 240 Center St., Nanticoke, PA 18634.
