Patricia Reilly Danchak, Dunmore, died Thursday night in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit. Her husband is Peter Danchak. The couple was married in 1985.
Born in Scranton, a daughter of the late Robert and Irene Kendzior Reilly, she was an honors graduate of Scranton Central High School and the University of Scranton, where she earned a degree in political science.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She had been employed a branch manager for PNC Bank at various branches in the area.
Pat’s motto was "Live for Today," and the way she did so was an inspiration. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Pat possessed a keen wit and fun-filled spirit that will make those who love her miss her even more.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Joseph Danchak.
Surviving are a daughter, Katelyn Reilly Danchak, at home; a brother, Robert Reilly of Ventura, Calif.; a sister, Mary Teresa Reilly Miluski of Harrisburg; a mother-in-law, Mary Danchak of Dunmore; several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Dunmore Health Care Center for the excellent care and love given to Pat over the past several years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave., Scranton by Msgr. Joseph Quinn. Anyone planning on attending the funeral is asked to go directly to the church. Interment, private in Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Pat’s name to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
