Vincent J. Yermal, 90, of Pittston, passed away on Thursday morning at the Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township.
He was born in Pittston on May 24, 1918, a son of the late William and Mary (Pilkonis) Yermal. He was a past member of St. Casimir’s Church, Pittston. He was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1936. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus 372 and the V.F.W. Post 637, Pittston.
William served in the U.S. Army in the Combat Engineers Division in the European Theater during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed at McKettrick & Williams, West Pittston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Yermal.
Surviving are his brother, Anthony Yermal, Succasunna, N.J.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 10 a.m. from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, William Street, Pittston. Interment will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Pittston.
