Af2 Pioneers training camp opens Sunday

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers officially open training camp on Sunday at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome at 9 a.m. Coach Rich Ingold and his staff will be working out many returnees from last year’s 15-3 squad.

The Pioneers home opener is 7:30 p.m. on March 27 at Wachovia Arena vs. the Manchester Wolves.

Individual tickets went on sale Monday. Season ticket packages can be purchased by calling (610) 854-4000 or E-mailing info@wbspioneers.com.

Track and Field Cougars prepare for ECAC Championships

Six members of the Misericordia men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete at the ECAC Indoor Championships on Thursday and Friday at Tufts University.

Ali Ostrum, Marcie Cusatis, Aimee DiLucido and Robin Razawich will compete in the distance medley relay Thursday.

Susan Bochnovich will compete in the 200, while Ostrum will run the mile and the 3,000 on Friday.

Frank Redmond will compete in the 800 on Friday.
