Irene E. Brozzoski, 89, of Exeter, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Highland Manor Nursing Home, Exeter.
Born in Exeter, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Roman Fedorko. Many people will remember them from when they had owned Camel’s Park in Exeter.
Irene was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston, and attended Exeter schools. She had been employed in the garment industry as a machine operator and also worked at Russell’s Ice Cream Parlor, Wyoming. She had been an active member of the Kingston Senior Citizens Center.
She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was dearly loved by all.
Surviving are her daughter, Charlotte Brozzoski, Exeter; sons, William and his wife, Shirley, Kansas City, Mo.; John and his wife, Marge, Exeter; Michael and his wife, Rosemarie Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; grandchildren, Billy, John and his wife, Michalene; Steven, Susan and her husband, Charles; Michael, Keith and Brian; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Highland Manor Nursing Home for the excellent care afforded their mother during her stay there.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with Office of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston, with the Rev. Scott Boghossian, officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley Street, Exeter.
Friends may call Sunday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Panachida will be held at 7 p.m.
