Elizabeth Lee Zawatski and Justin James Kaszowicz were united in marriage on April 18 at St. Mary’s Church, Mocanaqua, by the Rev. Stephen Krawontka
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Maryann Zawatski, Shickshinny. She is the granddaughter of Robert Zawatski Sr., Shickshinny; the late Jacqueline Zawatski; and the late Joseph and Matilda Zidek.
The groom is the son of James and Sally Kaszowicz, Nanticoke. He is the grandson of Sally Legins, Nanticoke; the late Walter Legins; and the late John and Louise Kaszowicz.
The bride, escorted by her father, was attended by Jamie Black, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Traci Kazmerski, cousin of the groom, and Bethany McCullough and Fallon Beaver, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Amelia Smith, niece of the groom, and Ava Miller, cousin of the bride.
Stephen Mikolajcyk, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Rudenko, cousin of the bride, and Robert Urbanski and Jason Neelands, friends of the groom. Junior usher was Owen Smith. Ring bearer was Blake Miller, godson and cousin of the bride. Scriptural readings were given by Jennifer DeLong and Colleen Searles, friends of the bride.
The bridal shower and the rehearsal dinner were held at the Alden Manor Complex, Nanticoke. An evening reception was held at the Ramada Inn, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Northwest Area High School and a 2006 graduate of College Misericordia with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She is employed by Guard Insurance Group as an internal sales advisor.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems and technology. He is employed as a computer systems programmer/analyst for the United States Postal Service.
The couple honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas. They reside in Nanticoke.
