Mrs. Toomey’s sixth grade reading class completed a story about the country of Egypt in Northern Africa. The story invited students to learn and experience the customs and traditions of this ancient land. Students were divided into groups and given particular topic to research such as levels of society, Greek cuisine, mummies, pyramids, games, homes and ornaments. The students demonstrated their research in the form of skits and projects. The two pictures reveal the secrets of the pyramids and the delicious Greek cuisine. Pictured are:

During the month of February, we take time to honor our 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball players and parents. The dates for this year’s presentation is Saturday, February 12 , and Sunday, February 20. The 8th grade girls’ basketball players and cheerleaders will be honored on Saturday Evening, February 12 and the Boys’ basketball players and parents will be on Sunday Afternoon, February 20. Each presentation will take place at a home game. There will be a brief ceremony between the Junior Varsity and Varsity Games at Wyoming Area Catholic Gym. All are invited to attend.
