Stevens fires 35 to spark Industrial leaders

Harry Stevens fired a sparkling 1-over par 35 and Rob Belza kicked in with a 37 to spark Stevens Financial to a 3-0 win over the Red Mill and remain atop the standings as the only unbeaten team in Industrial League action at Emanon Golf Club.

Mike Lazevnick shot a 37 and Jim Giordina a 42 to pace Red Mill.

Ashley Machine kept pace with Stevens, trailing by only a 1/2 point, as a result of their 3-0 win over Hoffman Electric. Joe Coleman and Allan Brown led Ashley with identical 2-over par scores of 36. Pete Lokuta and Sean Fortney shot 42s for Hoffman.

Ted Matthews shot a 37 and Bob Lampman a 40 to lead O’Connor Plumbing to a 3-0 win over AS Powers and Sons Plumbing and Heating Supplies. Jack Vasil shot 40 for Powers.

In the night’s final action, Selenski Insurance took three points from the slumping PJ Adonizio Funeral Home team. Jim Breck led the winners with a 36 followed by 39s shot by Tom Jorda and Wes Stelevich. Jack Linskey found his game and shot 35 for Adonizio.
